▶️ YouTube TV Launches Genre-Based Packages

The platform announced the launch of YouTube TV Plans, a new structure featuring more than 10 genre-based packages. The goal is to offer more flexible and more affordable subscription options.

The service has revealed details of one of the packages — the YouTube TV Sports Plan. It will provide access to all major sports broadcasters and networks, including FS1, NBC Sports Network, all ESPN networks, as well as ESPN Unlimited.

Subscribers will be able to add options such as NFL Sunday Ticket and RedZone, while retaining all core features (unlimited DVR, multiview, fantasy mode).

Previously, the price of YouTube TV’s single package rose from $35 to $83 due to “bloat” from low-demand channels. Genre-based packages will allow YouTube TV to avoid this artificial bloat and deliver greater value.

Analysts believe that YouTube TV, which already has more than 10 million subscribers, has a strong chance of becoming the largest pay-TV operator in the U.S. within the next few years.
