🎞 Wildberries Is Considering Its Own Streaming Service
The Wildberries marketplace is planning to launch its own video streaming service in 2026, according to sources in the media market. RWB, the combined structure of Wildberries and Russ, aims to build an ecosystem on the scale of Amazon and Alibaba.
Producer Artur Dzhanibekyan may be responsible for creating original series. His exclusive contract with Okko expires in 2026, making a partnership with Wildberries a logical step for both sides.
The marketplace also considered acquiring Ivi, the last major independent player in the market. However, the platform’s management is currently focused on developing the service in-house.
Wildberries is actively expanding into new niches. In 2025 alone, the company:
✔️ launched the Wibes social network;
✔️ acquired the Rive Gauche retail chain and the tour operator Fun&Sun;
✔️ began testing the WB Taxi service.
Having its own streaming platform would allow Wildberries to retain the attention of millions of users and compete for subscription revenue, which grew by 44% in Russia over the past year.
