▶️ The Number of VoD Subscriptions in the U.S. Will Grow
Analysts at Parks Associates presented a forecast for the development of the U.S. video market through 2030.
The market is entering a maturity phase: growth is now driven not by attracting new households, but by increasing the number of services used by existing subscribers.
The total number of subscriptions is expected to rise from 719 million in 2025 to 765 million by 2030.
Market revenues will increase to $190.7 billion, up from $186.5 billion this year.
Average monthly household spending on video will peak at $122.7 by 2028 (compared with $101 in 2020).
Streaming has definitively become the industry’s “economic engine,” while traditional pay TV continues to decline.
Consumers are increasingly opting for lower-cost, ad-supported subscriptions while combining multiple platforms.
Revenue growth will depend on viewers’ willingness to pay for premium content and on the flexibility of service bundles.
