๐Ÿ“Š TV Holds Off the Streaming Onslaught in Russia

Online cinemas are gaining ground, but traditional TV is still holding its position. According to data from a ROMIR study, 83% of Russians watch television, while 77% use video streaming services.

At the same time, 60% of viewers opt for a hybrid model, combining both formats.

Kinopoisk is the undisputed leader in popularity, trust, and reach. Okko, Kion, and Ivi share second place. Okko leads among younger audiences, while Kion and Ivi perform strongest among higher-income viewers.

Wink and Premier are also part of the leading group.

Russian platforms are generally perceived as โ€œfamily-friendly,โ€ while Netflix and Apple TV+ retain an image of innovative, premium-status brands. Experts note that values such as patriotism and creativity have not yet become firmly associated with any single player โ€” leaving an open niche for brand positioning and image development in 2026.
