๐Ÿญ Disney Surpasses All in Box Office Earnings for 2025

Disney has officially crossed the $6 billion mark in global box office revenue, becoming the first and only major studio to achieve this feat in 2025.

In comparison, its closest competitor, Warner Bros., earned $4.3 billion.

The major drivers behind this success were Zootopia 2 ($1.3 billion) and Lilo & Stitch ($1.038 billion) โ€“ the only films of the year to surpass the $1 billion threshold.

The new Avatar installment, Avatar: Fire and Ash, earned over $450 million in just a few days, speeding up the achievement of the record.

Three Marvel Studios releases (including Fantastic Four) contributed another $1.3 billion. Also noteworthy was the horror film Predator: Wastelands, which became the highest-grossing film in the franchise’s history, earning $184 million.

This marks the fifth time in Disney’s history that it has exceeded $6 billion in earnings. The 2025 result is the studio’s best since pre-pandemic 2019, confirming that audiences have massively returned to theaters.
