📺 Global TV Market Expected to See Demand Decline and Leadership Changes

Analysts at AVC Revo forecast a decline in global TV shipments in 2026. The Chinese market is expected to shrink by 4.8%, Europe will also post negative growth, and sales in North America will stagnate.

Manufacturing is increasingly being relocated from China to Mexico. Companies such as TCL and Hisense are expanding their overseas production capacity, while giants like Samsung and LG have been posting losses for several consecutive quarters.

Skyworth has acquired Funai’s business and obtained a Panasonic license. The brand is expected to enter the global top five for the first time, with shipments reaching 11 million units.

Sales of Mini-LED and giant TVs (85”+) are expected to slow. The 8K TV market is virtually disappearing (only about 100,000 units), while OLED is set to show only marginal growth.

The industry is shifting into a mode of strict cost-cutting and competition for emerging markets, where growth is also slowing due to rising component costs.
