🧠 AI Will Turn the TV into a Smart Conversational Partner
At CES 2026, Google unveiled a major update to Google TV centered around the Gemini AI model.
Content discovery and settings control will now become fully conversational.
Gemini will respond to queries not just with text, but with curated video selections, images, and real-time sports updates.
The Deep Dives feature will create interactive explanations of complex topics for the whole family.
Forget menus. Just say, “The screen is too dim” or “The dialogue is hard to hear,” and the AI will automatically calibrate sound and picture on the fly while you’re watching.
The AI will also be able to search for people in your Google Photos, while the Nano Banana and Veo models will enable the generation of unique screensavers and media directly on the TV screen.
TCL devices will be the first to receive the new features, with the AI capabilities later rolling out to all Google TV set-top boxes and projectors.
