🇪🇸 In Spain, Viewers Use an Average of Six SVoD Services at Once
The online streaming market in Spain has reached nearly 100% penetration. According to a December 2025 report by Barlovento Comunicación, 37.4 million people use streaming services monthly, accounting for 96% of the country’s population.
Almost 35 million users watch video content every day. Streaming has become an integral part of everyday life.
On average, one user subscribes to 5.9 platforms. Spaniards prefer to hold multiple subscriptions at the same time so they don’t miss new releases.
The top title of the year was Stranger Things (5.9 million viewers). The top five also included Guillermo del Toro’s film Frankenstein and local hits such as Aquí no hay quien viva (Nobody Lives Here).
Spain’s market demonstrates a mature ecosystem in which Netflix’s global blockbusters successfully coexist with long-running national series.
