▶️ Global Content Investment to Reach $255 Billion

According to an Ampere Analysis forecast, global spending on content production is expected to grow by 2% in 2026, reaching a record $255 billion.

Streaming platforms remain the main growth driver, continuing to displace traditional television.

Online platforms (SVoD and AVoD) will account for $101 billion—nearly 40% of total global content spending. Their investment is projected to increase by 6%.

Traditional broadcasters are cutting budgets amid declining advertising revenues and rising production costs. In the US, media groups are increasingly reallocating funds from linear TV to their own streaming services.

The FIFA World Cup and the 2026 Winter Olympics will provide an additional boost to the market. Streaming services are becoming more aggressive in acquiring sports rights—for example, Prime Video has secured NBA broadcast rights.

Experts note a structural transformation of the industry: platform scale and global reach are becoming the decisive factors for survival.
