🎥 French Content Conquers the World
France continues to hold the lead among non-English-speaking European countries in terms of presence on international SVoD platforms.
In 2025, more than 3,000 French works were released on global services, including 400 series and 40 original productions.
Content from France was actively acquired by giants such as Disney+ and Mubi, as well as local players like BFI Player in the UK and MagentaTV in Germany.
Feature films rank first, followed by documentaries and animation. The main hits of the year were the film Emilia Pérez, the documentary D‑Day, and the series Panda.
France ranks sixth overall for new releases (3.8%), behind China and South Korea, whose content is rapidly growing in popularity.
On traditional TV, France remains the third-largest supplier in the world, with a 7% share of premiere broadcasts. Sales were particularly strong in the US, UK, Mexico, and Poland.
