🎬 Spider-Man and Zelda Head to Global Streaming

Netflix and Sony Pictures Entertainment have signed a major Pay-1 deal for exclusive premieres, making Netflix the first streaming home for all Sony films worldwide after their theatrical and VoD runs.

Netflix will have an 18‑month exclusive window, after which the films will move to Disney.

The global roll-out begins this year, with the agreement set to cover all markets by early 2029.

Upcoming highlights include the live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, the finale Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, and Sam Mendes’ four films about The Beatles.

The deal also gives Netflix access to a large library of Sony series and catalogue films, while for Sony it reinforces a strategy of profitable licensing to major platforms rather than building its own streaming service.
