🚚 Terrestrial TV Signal Delivery Market Growing Rapidly
By the end of 2025, the terrestrial television signal delivery market reached 1.2 billion rubles, up by a quarter compared to 2023.
Satellite broadcasting remains far more expensive for thematic channels. At the same time, terrestrial networks make it easier to transition to HD broadcasting, while terrestrial multiplexes are still operating mostly in SD.
Viewers continue migrating to online platforms, where TV broadcast viewership grew by 30–50% in 2025.
The market is approaching saturation. According to Grigory Kuzin, Director of Media Platforms at MSK-IX, over 80% of signals were already delivered via terrestrial networks back in 2023.
“Further growth means expanding coverage and adding redundancy, not doubling volumes. The total number of linear TV channels is not increasing significantly, which also limits revenue potential,” the expert emphasizes.
Analysts forecast that in 2026, market growth will slow to 3–4% due to intensifying price competition and ongoing digital transformation.
