🎫 “Avatar: Fire and Ash” Crosses the $1 Billion Mark

Disney is celebrating a massive success: the third installment of 20th Century Studios’ franchise, Avatar: Fire and Ash, has officially surpassed $1 billion at the global box office.

James Cameron has reaffirmed his status as the king of the box office — Avatar has now become one of the rare film series in which every entry has grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

Disney dominates in 2025.

Fire and Ash joins the “billion-dollar club” alongside the animated hit Zootopia 2 and the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch.

These triumphs follow the studio’s record-breaking 2024 run, when both Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine crossed the billion-dollar threshold.

Only about 60 films currently hold this distinction, including iconic franchises such as Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and numerous Pixar titles. Cameron’s success once again proves that audiences are eager to return to theaters for epic, visually driven blockbusters.
