📑 Lionsgate Surpasses Revenue Forecasts

Lionsgate reported strong results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026. Revenue rose 18% to $724 million, significantly beating Wall Street expectations.

Revenue from the film division grew 35% to $421 million, led by the thriller The Maid with Sydney Sweeney, which has earned $266 million worldwide, and the sequel to Now You See Me.

Revenues from library titles reached a record $1.05 billion for the year, marking the fifth consecutive quarter of record results.

The studio renewed 12 of its 13 series, including The Recruit and Spartacus.

Lionsgate is lining up a strong slate: a Michael Jackson biopic (April 27 release), new Hunger Games installments, John Wick, Naruto, and a sequel to Dirty Dancing.

Against the backdrop of industry merger activity (Netflix vs. Paramount for Warner Bros. assets), Lionsgate’s shares rose.

CEO Jon Feltheimer noted the studio is prepared for market changes, including AI and large M&A deals, staying a dynamic and flexible company.
