⚖️ Online Cinemas Fined Again
On February 10, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow issued a series of rulings against several of the country’s largest video platforms.
The companies were found guilty of “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, gender transition or rejection of childbearing” under Part 3, Article 6.21 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses.
Fine amounts were as follows:
🧾 KinoPoisk and A Serial – 3.5 million rubles each
🧾 Ivi, Restim Media, and LifeStream – 3 million rubles each
🧾 24 Chasa TV – 2 million rubles
The total amount of penalties imposed in a single day exceeded 18 million rubles. The growing body of case law under this article is forcing platforms to tighten content filtering and pay closer attention to age ratings and classifications.
