Using Sony equipment, engineers demonstrated that the era of heavy cables and satellite trucks is fading into the past.

At the end of November, 5G kits provided unified video transmission and communication infrastructure during a tennis tournament in Turin.

The technology was also tested under extreme conditions along the 70‑kilometer Marcialonga ski route, where specialists evaluated how snow and low temperatures affected signal bandwidth.

Additional trials during regattas and football matches confirmed image stability even at very high camera movement speeds.

The use of 5G and IP protocols enables full broadcast setups to be deployed much faster and at significantly lower cost. This opens the door to ultra‑realistic “from‑the‑action” live coverage in locations where traditional cabling was previously impossible.
