🤝 Panasonic and Skyworth form an alliance
Japanese company Panasonic has announced a strategic partnership with China’s Skyworth, aimed at rebooting its TV manufacturing business, particularly in the key European market.
Skyworth, a top-five global TV brand, will take charge of production, logistics and marketing, allowing the partnership to benefit from economies of scale and reduced costs.
Panasonic will focus on developing high-end OLED models, remaining responsible for picture and sound quality as well as its signature service standards.
From 1 April, the Panasonic Entertainment division will be folded back into the core corporation, strengthening the brand’s consumer segment.
The partners are confident that combining Japanese technology with Chinese manufacturing power is a “winning formula” that will restore Panasonic TVs to leading positions in Europe.
