▶️ Online cinema market grows for the third year in a row

Russian video services continue to set new records: according to TelecomDaily, industry revenue in 2025 jumped 45% to reach 178.2 billion rubles.

The market has maintained abnormally high growth rates for three consecutive years, driven by aggressive marketing and ecosystem-based subscriptions.

🔝 Key shifts at the top:

  • Yandex on top. Kinopoisk holds roughly one-third of the market (32.7%), more than double its closest competitor’s share.
  • Okko’s surge. Sber’s service has climbed to second place, boosting revenue by 72% and squeezing rivals.
  • Top-three reshuffle. Wink has slipped to third, while ivi has, for the first time, fallen out of the top three and landed in fourth place.
  • Kion rounds out the top five, despite a slight dip in market share.

Interestingly, the advertising (AVoD) model has almost run its course: its share of total revenue has fallen to 3.6%. Viewers have effectively switched to paid subscriptions, whose volume jumped by 49% in a single year.
