‼️ Spring update for Mediabaza: expanded Mediabaza Mdisk and Mediabaza Market capabilities
In the latest release, we have significantly expanded the functionality of the Mdisk and Market modules, making everyday content workflows faster and more intuitive—from file storage and sharing to requests and deals on the marketplace.
Mediabaza Mdisk
The update covers three key areas.
1️⃣ Technical foundation: speed and security
We have optimized Mdisk’s core capabilities: processing of large files is now faster, the task manager has been fully redesigned, and support for file groups and archives has been added. The built‑in player now lets you preview key media formats directly in the disk interface.
For greater transparency, an event log has been introduced to record all actions with files and folders. Access rights management has been updated, and an email notification system for important changes has been added.
2️⃣ Commerce: integration with Market
The main change is deep integration of the Market catalog into Mdisk. Content cards can now be linked to specific locations on Mdisk, and buyers automatically receive access to those locations once their request is approved.
When a link is activated, the system automatically creates the necessary folders in the selected location, speeding up work on requests and deals and removing manual routine operations.
In addition, a reporting pool has been integrated: every uploaded file goes through automated integrity and quality checks (checksums, technical parameters and industry QC profiles), as well as compliance risk checks based on configured rules, including AI analysis. Reports are available for download in PDF format.
3️⃣ Operational workflows: teamwork
The “Shared by me” and “Available to me” sections allow you to hand over locations to partners or work directly within their disk space. This makes it possible, for example, to move files from a partner location into your own Mdisk folders without first downloading them locally, saving both time and bandwidth.
This approach supports end‑to‑end media production chains (editing → localization → subtitling → transcoding) and lets you involve several contractors at once. The system also allows flexible configuration of roles and access levels within your team.
Mediabaza Market
The release has improved the core interaction elements on the platform.
The marketplace and product cards have been updated, with better navigation and filtering. A dedicated player for vertical demo videos has been added.
Changes have also been made to the “Portfolio” section to speed up work with large data sets and the processing of incoming requests.
