🎬 Fairy Tales Lead the February Box Office
Russian cinemas ended February with excellent results: total box office revenue reached 5.089 billion rubles, up 32% from last year. Nearly 11 million people visited theaters during the month.
Top films of the month:
1st place – the fantasy film The Tale of Tsar Saltan, an undisputed hit with 1.59 billion rubles in ticket sales. This marks the director’s second consecutive success following January’s Prostokvashino triumph.
2nd place – the thriller The Maid, grossing 548.5 million rubles.
3rd place – the action film Shelter, with 234.3 million rubles.
The average cinema ticket price has increased slightly, now ranging from 451 to 455 rubles (compared with 425 rubles in 2025).
Although February is traditionally calmer than the exceptionally profitable January (when Cheburashka 2 drove total revenue to 14.4 billion rubles), the overall market momentum remains steadily strong.
