Pixar is celebrating a triumphant return to original storytelling. The studioâs new animated film Hoppers delivered the best opening for an original animated feature in the past nine years.â

- Hoppers: scored 46 million dollars in the U.S. and 88 million dollars worldwide, marking Pixarâs strongest original launch since Coco (2017). Audiences are thrilled, with an A grade from CinemaScore and a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
- Scream 7: despite a 72% drop in revenue, the horror sequel held on to second place with 17.1 million dollars, pushing its total box office to 150 million dollars.
- The Bride!: Maggie Gyllenhaalâs ambitious project starring Christian Bale has tanked. On a budget of 80 million dollars, the film managed just 13 million dollars worldwide in its opening weekend. Critics slammed the gothic drama (59% on Rotten Tomatoes), while audiences handed it a disappointing C+ CinemaScore.
Hoppers follows a girl named Mabel, who transfers her consciousness into a robot beaver to save the animal world from a devious mayor. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is hoping to regain momentum at the Oscars on March 16, where its titles Sinners and One Battle After Another will compete for the top prize.
