🛰 NTV‑Plus returns to Siberia

Satellite operator NTV‑Plus has restored broadcasting in the Siberian region after the loss of the Express‑AT1 satellite.

The March 4 failure led to a complete shutdown of several operators’ signals, and the RSCC satellite has since been declared lost.

The solution was to migrate services to the Yamal‑402 satellite (55°E), owned by Gazprom Space Systems. For now, up to 60 channels are technically available, and to support subscribers these channels will be offered free of charge during the test period. To resume viewing, customers need to retune their equipment.

Earlier, Tricolor carried out a similar maneuver by arranging to lease capacity on the ABS‑2A satellite.

Experts note that the rapid recovery was made possible by close integration within the broader Gazprom ecosystem.
