🎬 Disney and Pixar’s Hoppers dominate the global box office

While the world awaits the premiere of Super Mario: Galactic Movie, Pixar’s Hoppers is firmly holding onto the top spot.

Over the past weekend, the film grossed $59.5 million worldwide, bringing its running total to $164.7 million. In just 10 days of release, Hoppers has become the year’s highest‑grossing animated film, surpassing Sony’s GOAT: Dream Big.

Global success of Hoppers

The film has been the top non‑local release in nearly every market across Europe, Asia and Latin America. In Japan, it notched the second‑best post‑pandemic opening for an original animated feature.

Second‑weekend declines were mild at -37% domestically and -17% overseas, outperforming Zootopia and Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Top markets: UK ($10.1 million), Mexico ($7.6 million) and Germany ($7.3 million). Next week, Hoppers will expand to China and the Middle East.

Other notable box office developments
