🔝 Russia Enters the Global Top 5 in Virtual Film Production
Russia’s virtual production industry has made a major leap forward: according to a report by the UK-based agency Hagman Global Strategies, the country ranks fifth worldwide, surpassing China. Only the U.S., the U.K., and the European Union are ahead.
Russia took first place globally in the number of completed projects using virtual production technologies.
The core facilities are concentrated in Moscow, led by three industry giants — XOVP (MosKino Studio Complex), Virtual Studio Gorky 55.8, and SberStudios. Together, these sites have become a magnet for producers, offering cutting-edge tools for location-free filmmaking.
Analysts note that at the current pace, Moscow has every chance of becoming a key global hub, attracting international orders for high-end visual content creation.
